July Newsletter
In July, Better Together Transportation continued helping older adults and disabled neighbors reach the people and places that give life meaning.
Thank you for helping keep our neighbors connected.
Featured Story: Deborah and Robert
Deborah calls us when she wants to visit her husband, Robert, who lives in a nursing home. She often spends six hours or more beside him.
We walk Deborah to his room. When we return at the end of the day, she is still at Robert’s side, holding his hand.
This is why Better Together Transportation exists: to help people remain close to those they love.
Goodwill Interviews BTT
Goodwill interviewed us about how transportation helps seniors and disabled people remain part of family and community life.

On Tuesday, August 25, Asheville City Council is expected to consider the final plan to redraw the city’s bus routes. The proposal could make it harder for seniors and disabled residents to reach shelter, healthcare, and public services.
BTT needs at least five people to attend. You can speak, give your speaking time to BTT’s speaker, or simply attend in support.
