Community Partners
We support local groups that improve life for seniors and people with disabilities, including:
- Community Centers – We bring seniors to Harvest House, Grove Street, and other centers for social activities and programs.
- Mountain Aging Partners– We receive referrals through their Call-a-Ride program and provide daily rides to their adult day services.
- Jewish Family Services – We provide rides to their Faye’s Place Elder Club for senior socialization.
- Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry – We bring people to ABCCM for rent assistance and to gather food and health supplies.
- Transformation Village – We offer weekly trips for women and children to explore the community.
- Mountain Mobility – We serve those beyond the reach of public transit or whose needs can’t be met by government services.
- Local Churches– We help parishioners attend services at Central United Methodist Church, The Rock Church, The Church At Asheville, and other places of worship.
- Social Workers – We accept referrals from social workers and Meals on Wheels staff to identify isolated seniors and help reconnect them to their community.
- Retirement Communities – We provide transportation for residents of Deerfield, Vanderbilt Senior Apartments, Givens Gerber Park, and Battery Park Senior Apartments, helping them stay active and engaged in the community.
