Retha loves to knit shawls and clothing, and she often wears her own work when she rides with us.
She has told us she looks forward to our trips because “it is the only time that I get to leave the house.”
One of her favorite outings is Walmart. Not because shopping is the point, but because she can ride around, see people, and be near other human beings.

Better Together Transportation will present at One Million Cups Asheville on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Our Executive Director will share the story of the charity, why transportation is about more than getting from one place to another, and what we are learning from riders across Buncombe County.
